JOB DETAILS:
Pursuant to County Government Act section 59 (1) (a) and (b) and the constitution of Kenya 2010, the County Public Service Board of Marsabit wishes to recruit competent and qualified citizens to fill the following vacant positions in the under listed County departments.
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES
CPSBM 28/ALF/27/01/2021: Assistant Agricultural Officer III (Job Group H) – 2 post
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable .

Responsibilities
• Training and advising farmers on matters relating to crop production, land development, planning and management of demonstration plots in the wards;
• Provision of agricultural extension services;
• Mobilizing, training and advising farmers on matters relating to agricultural extension services;
• Organizing and executing agricultural extension programmes;

Requirements for Appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Holds a Diploma in either Agriculture or Food Technology or Agriculture & Home Economics or Agricultural Education & Horticulture or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Have work experience relevant field;
• Must be a professional of high integrity, intelligence and energy;
• Must have good inter-personal and communication skills;
• Proficiency in computer applications;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
