JOB DETAILS:
Invitation for Application for the County Assembly Audit Committee
Pursuant to Section 155(5) of the Public Finance Management Act. 2012, Public Finance Management (County Government) Regulations, 2015, Section 167 and Audit Committee Guidelines for the County Government, Kisii County Assembly should establish County Assembly Audit committee as follows:

2 Members
To be appointed as MEMBER (2) of the Audit Committee one should:
1. Hold a Degree from a university recognized in Kenya:
2. Be a citizen of Kenya:
3. Have a progressive working experience of not less than 5 years;
4. Be a member of professional body in good standing;
5. Have knowledge and experience in public service/ devolved system of government: and
6. Be a person with integrity and compliance with requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution of Kenya. 2010.

Terms of appointment
1. Members of the Audit Committee shall be appointed for a term of 3 years on part-time basis and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a further ONE term only:
2. Despite paragraph (1) above, after expiry of every term, at least one third of the committee shall retire and not be eligible for re-appointment:
3. The term should only be extended after performance of the member has been reviewed:
4. Applicants should not be past/present employee/agent of Kisii County Assembly or political office holder.
