Responsibilities or duties
For ALL the Assistant Vocational and Technical Trainer Ili, the duties and responsibilities for this cadre will entail: -
- Deliver specialized training in accordance with approved curricula and established standards of instruction;
- Develop and prepare comprehensive teaching and learning materials, including scheme: of work, lesson plans, and instructional aids;
- Design, administer, and evaluate examinations and assignments to assess trainees’ knowledge, skills, and competencies;
- Undertake research and innovation activities under the guidance and mentorship ot a senior trainer to enhance instructional content and methodology; and
- Supervise trainees in the execution of projects, industrial attachments, and practical work io ensure the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world contexts.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements for appointment; for appointment to this grade a candidate must: -
- Be a Kenyan Citizen;
- Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean Grade D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution,
- Have a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Technical Education (Building Technology/Water Technology (Plumbing); Building Technology/Water Technology (Plumbing); Education/Technical Education: Building Technology/Water ‘Technology (Plumbing} or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
- Have Registration with Technical Vocational Education and Training Auth jority (TVET);
- Have Training in Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) curriculum will be an added advantage;
- Have Proficiency in computer applications;
- Have fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.

Medical Cover: _ As provided by the County Government of Kisumu
For those with foreign Degrees should have them authenticated by Commission for Higher Education (CHE). in addition, during the interview, they will be required to submit their academic certificates authenticate by Issuing Institutions to the Board. Chapter 6 requirements will only be required from successful applicants.
