Youth Polytechnic Instructor IV – Motor Vehicle Mechanics/Automotive Engineering - 4 Posts

Responsibilities or duties,

• Giving theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization to trainees;
• Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plan, lesson notes, trainees’ records teaching and learning materials;
• Administering examinations, evaluation and preparing trainee progress reports;
• Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment;
• Organizing and conducting co-curricular activities;
• Maintaining trainees discipline;
• Guiding and counseling trainees;
• Preparation of departmental budgets;
• Supervising projects and income generating activities;
• Coordinating and supervising trainees on industrial attachment and field work;
• Monitoring and evaluating NITA training programmes;
• Answerable to the manager;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the manager

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),

• Be a Kenyan Citizen;
• Be a holder of NITA Master Craft/Craft Certificate in the following Discipline: Motor Vehicle Mechanics/Automotive engineering;
• Must possess KCSE Certificate;
• Must possess Certificate in Computer application from a recognized institution;

Experience needed,

NITA Grade I will be an added advantage;

Work Hours: 8
