An HR Intern performs administrative and support duties within a human resources department, including managing employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, coordinating interviews, supporting HR events, and maintaining confidentiality
Recruitment Support: Post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews with candidates. Administrative Tasks: Update internal databases, file HR documents, and manage employee records. Onboarding & Orientation: Assist with new hire paperwork and prepare materials for orientation sessions. Data Management: Collect and input payroll information, and maintain the accuracy of employee data. Event Coordination: Help organize company events, such as career fairs, and employee engagement activities. Policy & Compliance: Assist in communicating company policies, reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Employee Support: Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. Reporting: Create reports on HR processes, such as turnover or talent acquisition, as needed.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to interact with employees and HR staff. Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain documents, and coordinate schedules. Computer Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in data entry, document management, and policy adherence. Teamwork: Capacity to work effectively as part of the HR team and collaborate with colleagues. Confidentiality: A strong understanding of the importance of maintaining privacy and discretion with sensitive employee information. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address basic employee issues or administrative challenges.
Degree/Diploma in HR, BA or any other related. Must be a recent graduate.
