This consultancy will provide senior technical expertise and strategic lead for the CDC–UNICEF cooperative agreement, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s global immunization strategy and advancing high-level engagement with CDC and other relevant partners. The role will provide strategic direction, critical guidance, and decision-making leadership across programme monitoring, donor engagement, financial oversight, and reporting. The consultant will act as the central coordination point between CDC, UNICEF technical teams, and global partners, ensuring accountability, visibility of results, and alignment with partnership objectives.
To support this work, the Immunization Section seeks a dedicated partnership function to lead and coordinate the management of the CDC cooperative agreement, including donor engagement, programme monitoring, and reporting.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Minimum requirements:
Education: Advanced university degree in public health, international development, social sciences, public policy, or related field.
A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Disciplines: Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities or related field
Technical Skills:
Language Requirements: Fluency in English required. Knowledge of another official UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
Experience needed:
Work Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in immunization programme management, outbreak preparedness and response, pandemic preparedness, implementation monitoring, evidence generation and disease prevention
