Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) invites applications from competent, results-oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary and experienced persons to fill vacant positions at the College Headquarters and campuses across Kenya.
KMTC is a state corporation established by an Act of Parliament under the Ministry of Health. Founded in 1927, the College plays a central role in training health professionals and supporting the delivery of quality healthcare services in Kenya. Through its campuses and specialised programmes, the institution continues to contribute to the development of a skilled health workforce for the country.
The KMTC Board of Directors is seeking suitable candidates for positions in academic training, information communication technology, finance, human resource management, library services, supply chain management, administration, security, transport and office support. The available opportunities offer professionals and support staff a chance to contribute to the College’s mandate of producing competent healthcare workers and strengthening institutional service delivery.
Responsibilities or duties
The Accountant II / Finance Officer II will support financial management, accounting and reporting functions at KMTC. The officer will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reconciliations and supporting budget implementation. The role will contribute to accurate, timely and accountable management of College resources.
The officer will also support compliance with financial procedures and internal controls. Duties may include assisting with payment processing, preparation of financial reports, handling supporting documentation and responding to routine finance-related matters. The position is important in promoting sound financial administration and accountability within the College.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates, and other relevant supporting documents during interviews.
Successful candidates will be required to provide documents for issuance of a certificate of compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. These include clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Credit Reference Bureau, and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
