Job Description
- This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Collation of financial estimates;
- Verifying returns and vouchers;
- Manage petty cash, cash books, ledgers, imprest warrants;
- General accounting work involving book-keeping and routine accounting entries;
- Control of expenditure and below-the-line accounting;
- Collecting of revenue; and
- Safekeeping of Accountable Documents.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
- Bachelors degree in any of the following fields: - Commerce (Accounting option), Forensic Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (Accounting option), Business Management (Accounting option), or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
- Certificate in computer application skills
Terms of Service
- The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs. 42,636 Kshs. 58,938/= per month exclusive of allowances.
