We are seeking experienced and highly motivated professionals to join our Finance and Logistics team within a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. The successful candidates will support in strengthening operational excellence, financial governance and supply chain efficiency to support continued business growth across its manufacturing and distribution network.
Accountant – Purchasing
Position: Accountant – Purchasing
Location: Salgaa, Kenya
Experience: 5–7 years
Qualification: Chartered Accountant
Job Summary:
The Accountant – Purchasing will oversee the financial and accounting aspects of procurement activities, ensuring accurate recording of purchases, supplier payments, cost control, and compliance with procurement and financial policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile purchasing and procurement transactions.
- Review purchase invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Process and monitor supplier payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor purchasing costs and analyze expenditure trends.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement-related financial transactions.
- Support procurement budgeting and forecasting.
- Verify prices, quantities, taxes, and payment terms on supplier invoices.
- Monitor outstanding supplier balances and payment schedules.
- Ensure procurement transactions comply with financial controls and company policies.
- Support audits and provide procurement-related financial documentation.
- Work closely with procurement, stores, finance, and suppliers to resolve financial issues.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant qualification.
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in procurement accounting, accounts payable, or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls and supplier reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong Excel and accounting-system proficiency.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and accuracy.
