Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
  • Record and manage daily financial transactions within the accounting system.
  • Prepare and process payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Perform regular bank, petty cash, and supplier account reconciliations.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Support budget preparation and expenditure tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and VAT (where applicable).
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and reference purposes.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide insights on the organization’s financial position.
  • Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA Part II or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Kenyan statutory and tax regulations.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
