Position Overview
Our client, a reputable hotel in Maua, Meru County, is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to support its financial operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements within the hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly and periodic statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and daily revenue collections.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax obligations.
- Support budget preparation and financial planning.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- CPA-K qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
