About the Role

The ideal candidate will manage financial records, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and maintain accurate data entry and reporting. This position plays a vital role in supporting financial transparency and operational efficiency across our business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance & Filing: Prepare, file, and ensure timely compliance with all statutory tax requirements (PAYE, VAT, NHIF, NSSF, and other returns).
  • Data Entry & Record Management: Accurately post all financial transactions into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
  • Audits: Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Stock Management: Conduct regular shop stock takes and reconcile inventory data with system records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting and reporting systems.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA Part II or above is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
