Accountant at Arvocap Asset Managers
Responsibilities or duties
Manage all accounting transactions and Prepare budget forecasts.
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Cashflow planning and reconcile petty cash account.
Ensure timely bank payments transactions.
Prepare and Manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements and other financial reports.
Publish financial statements in time.
Report on the company's financial health and liquidity status.
Ensure Audit readiness, Audit all financial transactions and document.
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
Comply with financial policies and regulations.
Compute taxes, prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with e-Tims.
Review, post and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting Procedures.
Member accounts invoicing, receipting and reconciling.
Debt, Expenses and Budget management.
Monitoring expenditure and ensuring all expenses are approved as per the budget set.
Processing payments to various vendors and ensuring withholding tax is deducted as per the law.
Keeping updated member records; and Performing other duties that may be assigned to you by the CEO/Executive Directors.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance or Accounting option) or related degree/diploma;
Must possess at least CPA Part II qualification;
At least three (3) years' working experience in a finance office;
Accounting software knowledge and experience and understanding of accounting standards and tax laws;
Hands-on experience with accounting software preferably Zohobooks or Odoo;
Advanced MS Excel skills;
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); and
Experience in wealth management, investment advisory, or financial services is an added advantage.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player; and
