Description

Dune Packaging Limited located in Thika seeks to recruit an Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage insurance covers across all company entities, including renewals, monitoring, and claims handling.
  • Conduct monthly stock and fixed asset evaluations for insurance purposes.
  • Process purchase invoices as the first approver and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and file VAT, Withholding VAT, and Withholding Tax returns in compliance with KRA timelines.
  • Handle costing confirmation and checking of import files.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers in Excel and Business Central.
  • Update and monitor foreign bills, including bill discounting, exchange gain/loss tracking, and payment reconciliations.
  • Support monthly stock takes and maintain physical fixed asset files.
  • Review and verify bank letters before sign-off.
  • Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related & CPA Sec IV
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of the Kenyan manufacturing industry and packaging operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Business Central (or similar ERP systems).
