Background

We are hiring an Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the financial operations within the Real Estate industry.

Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • Maintaining daily accounting records.
  • Processing invoices, LPOs, payments, and receipts for contractors and suppliers.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT reconciliations and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Supporting internal and external audits.
  • Reconciling bank statements, project accounts, and petty cash.
  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and auditors.
  • Experience in project cost tracking, VAT compliance, and audit support is an added advantage.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, CPA K or related field.
  • 4 years accounting experience, preferably in construction & Real Estate.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Tally) and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

Maintain organized financial records for audits and compliance checks. * Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions. * Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and auditors to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. * Experience in project cost tracking, tax compliance, and audit support is an added advantage. * Knowledge of accounting principles. * Practical understanding of VAT, WHT, and general tax compliance. * Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Tally) and MS Office. * Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills. * Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
