The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable/receivable, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with tax obligations. The role will involve working with auditors and providing accurate financial reports.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage month-end/year-end closing, journals, and reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory obligations (PAYE, NSSF, VAT).
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets, and provide forecasts.
- Safeguard financial records and ensure compliance with policies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
- 2+ years of experience in FMCG or manufacturing finance.
- Knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and Kenyan Tax laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
