Position Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable/receivable, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with tax obligations. The role will involve working with auditors and providing accurate financial reports.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage month-end/year-end closing, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory obligations (PAYE, NSSF, VAT).
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets, and provide forecasts.
  • Safeguard financial records and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of experience in FMCG or manufacturing finance.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and Kenyan Tax laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
