Qualifications:

Minimum Education: CPA Part I

Preferred Education: CPA(K)

Experience:

Minimum Years: 2 years in accounting

Preferred Background: Hospitality industry, multi-revenue stream exposure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts across all business units
  • Prepare daily, weekly & monthly revenue reconciliation reports
  • Process payroll and remit statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts
  • Coordinate stock-taking and inventory controls for bar & kitchen
  • Ensure KRA compliance (VAT, withholding tax, income tax)
  • Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process
  • Analyse revenue performance per department and advise management
  • Prepare budgets and variance analysis reports

Technical Skills:

  • Accounting Software: QuickBooks / Sage or similar
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Compliance: KRA/Tax, PAYE & VAT compliance

Soft Skills:

  • High integrity & honesty
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear communication skills
