Qualifications:
Minimum Education: CPA Part I
Preferred Education: CPA(K)
Experience:
Minimum Years: 2 years in accounting
Preferred Background: Hospitality industry, multi-revenue stream exposure
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts across all business units
- Prepare daily, weekly & monthly revenue reconciliation reports
- Process payroll and remit statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts
- Coordinate stock-taking and inventory controls for bar & kitchen
- Ensure KRA compliance (VAT, withholding tax, income tax)
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Analyse revenue performance per department and advise management
- Prepare budgets and variance analysis reports
Technical Skills:
- Accounting Software: QuickBooks / Sage or similar
- Advanced MS Excel
- Compliance: KRA/Tax, PAYE & VAT compliance
Soft Skills:
- High integrity & honesty
- Strong analytical mindset
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills
