Job Summary

Phoenix Capital is seeking an analytical, meticulous, and proactive Accounting Intern to support the financial operations team with ledger reconciliation, tax compliance, and reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations: Execute routine ledger reconciliations, bank matching, and financial statement tracking.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in prepping and filing monthly statutory deductions and tax returns (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax).
  • Financial Analysis: Support budgeting workflows and participate directly in monthly financial variance analyses.
  • Reporting: Maintain clean records for internal auditing and smooth cross-departmental communications.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related business field.
  • CPA Part II (or ACCA equivalent); full professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience working specifically within an Insurance Agency.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • High accuracy, strict confidentiality, professional integrity, and ability to work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.
