JOB PURPOSE:
This individual will provide support to the Finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, and ensuring adherence to company policies, statutory obligations, and financial reporting standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support accurate financial record-keeping, reporting, reconciliations, and maintenance of accounting records in compliance with organizational policies.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment administration, supplier account management, and resolution of vendor queries.
- Contribute to the implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards by ensuring accurate cost tracking, compliance, and promotion of a safe working environment.
- Support the effective use of financial systems, internal controls, and document management processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with audit activities and regulatory compliance by preparing financial documentation and ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax requirements, and corporate policies.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CAREER EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- A CPA-K or an equivalent professional qualification.
- 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or audit environment.
- Experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of accounting systems, preferably SAP, and proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and IFRS.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a positive and proactive approach.
- High levels of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
- Willingness to learn, take on additional responsibilities, work under supervision, and meet deadlines.
