Responsibilities or duties
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
- Processing invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities, including tracking outstanding payments.
- Contributing to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintaining an organized system for filing and retrieving financial records and supporting documents.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA-K as an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Interpersonal skills with experience working with children affected by crisis/conflict.
- Commitment to human/children’s rights and an understanding of rights-based approaches and their application.
Experience needed
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Knowledge of NGO financial procedures and donor compliance is an added advantage.
