Responsibilities

  • Enter financial data for all institutional transactions and perform routine accounting duties, including balancing cashbooks, ledgers and imprests.
  • Receive, process and account for student fee payments, ensuring accurate issuance of receipts and posting of transactions to student accounts.
  • Maintain and update student fee records, monitor outstanding balances and assist students with fee-related inquiries.
  • Ensure safe custody, proper filing and easy retrieval of accounting and student financial records.
  • Monitor creditor payments and maintain accurate and up-to-date creditors' accounts.
  • Prepare petty cash, payment schedules and financial summaries and reconcile related balances.
  • Assist the Accountant in financial reporting, bank and student fee reconciliations and other accounting functions.
  • Comply with institutional financial policies, government regulations and audit requirements and provide records required for audit.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • CPA II (Part II).
  • Computer literate.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in accounts or finance.
  • Good knowledge of accounting procedures, financial records management and use of accounting
