A well-established retail and inventory-driven business is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support its financial and administrative operations at its Eldoret branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting inventory and financial control processes.

Job Description

  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Process supplier invoices, expense claims, and petty cash transactions.
  • Reconcile cash, bank, and mobile money transactions.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial and management reports.
  • Support inventory and stock reconciliations.
  • Monitor branch expenses and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  • Maintain organized financial and administrative records.
  • Support audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Liaise with customers, and internal teams on finance-related matters.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA Part II or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
