Job Opportunity: Accounts Assistant 

Corporate Staffing Services is recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a client located along Mombasa Road, Nairobi. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, maintaining high organizational and ethical standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Invoice & Payment Processing: Process supplier invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely; prepare payment vouchers and maintain proper physical and electronic financial documentation.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank, petty cash, and ledger reconciliations consistently.
  • Reporting Support: Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, schedules, budget monitoring matrices, and expenditure tracking logs.
  • Ledger Management: Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including systematic follow-ups on outstanding balances.
  • Procurement & Projects: Support procurement processes by verifying documentation against financial procedures, tracking project expenses, and managing inventory/cost accounting frameworks.
  • Audit Readiness: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audit procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA Part II qualification or its professional equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of active, hands-on experience in a corporate accounting role.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and practical working knowledge of any standard ERP accounting software.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical, cost accounting, and inventory management skills with meticulous attention to detail and uncompromised integrity.
