Our client, a reputable and fast-growing business, is seeking a diligent, organized, and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to support financial operations across both its restaurant and workshop outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for both the restaurant and workshop operations.
  • Record daily sales, expenses, and petty cash transactions for both business units.
  • Reconcile cash, mobile money (M-Pesa), and bank transactions daily.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and delivery notes.
  • Oversee timely payment of suppliers and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Track and update inventory and stock records in coordination with restaurant and workshop teams.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, expense summaries, and budget tracking.
  • Facilitate the restaurant and workshop to ensure accurate, consistent record-keeping across both sites.
  • Support payroll processing by compiling attendance and relevant staff cost data.
  • File and organize financial documents, receipts, and statutory records in an orderly manner.
  • Liaise with management to address any financial discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and records.
  • Perform any other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA Part II or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounts clerk or bookkeeping role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while moving between two sites.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
