Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting department in various tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
- Support the Accounts Manager with ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
