Duties and responsibilities will entail: -

• Filing tax returns;
• Updating the cashbook;
• Maintaining cash books, ledgers, vote books and registers;
• Preparing and verifying vouchers and committal documents;
• Keeping safe custody of council’s accounting records and documents accounting assets.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce; Finance; Business Administration (Financing and Accounting option); Economics; Statistics or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
• OR
• Certified Public Accountants CPA (II) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
• Proficiency in Computer Applications.
