About the Position

  • Our client, a reputable organization based in Lavington, Nairobi, is seeking to recruit a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable professional. The position holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable cycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, verify, and reconcile invoices in a timely manner.
  • Manage vendor accounts, ensuring payments are accurate and up to date.
  • Review and match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documents.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are made before due dates.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal interactions.
