The Administrative & Logistics Technical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the NRC Kenya Country Office. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office and supporting the delivery of NRC's programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, including managing correspondence, filing, and maintaining records.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events, including logistics and documentation.
- Support the procurement process, including obtaining quotations, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Manage office inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for staff and visitors, including booking flights, accommodation, and transportation.
- Maintain a database of suppliers and service providers.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Business Administration and/or Logistics related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working as Administration or Logistics in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge of English, Swahili and local Language
- Knowledge of the context in Dadaab is an essential
- Experience of working with INGO in a similar capacity will be an added advantage
- Basic experience from working as a function officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge in English, both written and verbal

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Knowledge of procurement procedures and logistics management. * Fluency in English and Swahili.
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or logistics role, preferably in an NGO setting.
