Legal and Regulatory

The Advocate will handle legal matters for The Great Rift Valley Retreat and New Agrodeal Kenya Limited.

The role has a strong focus on land law (title, conveyancing, transfers, and disputes), alongside general contract and compliance work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and land buyers/investors
  • Handle land matters: title verification, conveyancing, subdivision, and transfers
  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws on agriculture, exports, labor, land, and corporate governance
  • Manage dispute resolution and liaise with regulators and authorities
  • Advise management on legal risk across both companies

Qualifications

  • Intelligent, creative and committed person.
  • LL.B and admission to the Bar in Kenya, in good standing
  • Minimum 3 years' experience, with land law expertise required
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Agribusiness, real estate, or export trade experience is an added advantage
  • High ethical standards and ability to manage multiple matters independently
