Responsibilities

The Agriculture Retainer will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on agricultural development projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the design and implementation of agricultural programs.
  • Conducting field assessments and data collection.
  • Providing technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development of project reports and proposals.
  • Monitoring and evaluating project progress and impact.
  • Staying abreast of the latest developments and best practices in agriculture.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Rural Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in agricultural project management and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the agricultural sector.

Additional Information

This is a retainer position, and the incumbent will be engaged on a when-needed basis. UNOPS offers a competitive remuneration package.
