Responsibilities
The Agriculture Retainer will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on agricultural development projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the design and implementation of agricultural programs.
- Conducting field assessments and data collection.
- Providing technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Contributing to the development of project reports and proposals.
- Monitoring and evaluating project progress and impact.
- Staying abreast of the latest developments and best practices in agriculture.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Rural Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in agricultural project management and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the agricultural sector.
Additional Information
This is a retainer position, and the incumbent will be engaged on a when-needed basis. UNOPS offers a competitive remuneration package.
