We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Agronomist to lead the production of high-quality herbs and vegetables for both local and export markets. This role requires strong technical agronomy skills combined with practical farm operations leadership to deliver consistent yields, compliance, and efficient team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee herbs and vegetables production (basil, mint, coriander, leafy greens, peppers, tomatoes, etc.)
- Manage soil fertility, irrigation, and crop nutrition programs
- Design and implement structured feeding schedules based on crop stage and soil analysis
- Plan staggered planting and harvesting to meet weekly supply targets
- Implement integrated pest and disease management (IPM)
- Supervise and optimize casual labor productivity
- Maintain accurate farm records and ensure Global G.A.P., organic, and phytosanitary compliance
- Coordinate procurement of inputs and support logistics for local and export distribution
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Science, or related field
- 5–7 years’ experience in horticultural farm management, preferably herbs and vegetables
- Experience working with export-oriented farms and certification standards
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, crop nutrition, and post-harvest handling
- Demonstrated leadership and operational planning skills
