Our client is a fast growing aviation technical services consultancy firm the aircraft technical records specialist is responsible for the integrity and compliance of aircraft maintenance records, with a primary focus on asset transitions and lessor audits. This role ensures that all documentation meets stringent regulatory standards (faa/easa) and contractual lease return conditions, directly safeguarding the aircrafts airworthiness and financial value.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or diploma in aeronautical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Deep understanding of easa part m, faa part 145, and iata standards.
- Proficiency in maintenance tracking software (e.g., amos, trax, oases) and digital record platforms (e.g., flydocs, aerdata, stream).
- Advanced excel skills (pivot Tables/vlookups) for data migration. Previous experience with oem portals such as airbusworld, myboeingfleet preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret complex aircraft lease contracts and translate technical requirements into actionable compliance checklists.
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience in aircraft technical records, specifically within an airline, camo or mro environment, with proven experience in at least two full aircraft transition projects.
Salary
kshs. 150,000 - 300,000 plus generous company benefits
Main responsibilities
- Asset transitions (delivery/redelivery): lead the compilation and review of comprehensive records packages for aircraft delivery, redelivery, or sale.
- Identify and resolve back-to-birth (btb) traceability gaps for life-limited parts (llps) and major components.
- Records auditing: conduct meticulous audits fo aircraft Records (ldnd, ht, occm, structural Repairs, modifications & sbs)
- Identify discrepancies and ensure 100% compliance with airworthiness directives (ads).
- Technical liaison: act as technical point of contact during inspections and transitions.
- Resolve technical queries from lessor and next lessee.
- Data integrity management: reconcile maintenance records with digital systems like amos, trax, or oases.
- Ensure all statuses are accurate and maintenance work packages are complete, signed, and correctly archived.
