Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible in carrying out animal health and veterinary public health services

Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks

Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities / Tasks

• Carrying out simple treatment of animals
• Participate in disease search and reporting
• Demonstrate on milking techniques and external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting
• Carry out vaccination: and undertaking closed castration, dehorning, de-worming, disbudding, docking, debeaking and hoof trimming.
• Carry out meat inspection and grading
• Record animal daily kills in slaughter houses
• Issue certificate of transport
• Enforce slaughter house hygiene and meat transport regulations
• Issue meat condemnations and movement permits
