Job Purpose

The Area Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned region by acquiring new customers, managing existing accounts, expanding the distribution network, recruiting sales agents and ensuring effective market coverage. The role focuses on executing the company's sales strategy at the field level while ensuring revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market penetration initiatives.

Responsibilities or duties

Sales Execution & Area Growth

  • Execute the company's sales strategy within the assigned territory.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and institutional markets.
  • Drive customer acquisition and market penetration initiatives.
  • Maximize sales opportunities through effective territory planning and customer engagement.

Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, resellers, and key stakeholders.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support territory sale representative within the territory.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and issue resolution.
  • Increase sales agents productivity and maintain targeted active sales agents participation.

Sales Operations & Market Execution

  • Execute daily route plans and ensure optimal market coverage.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and update all customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales processes, pricing guidelines, and documentation requirements.
  • Generate quality leads and manage the sales pipeline through to closure.
  • Follow approved discount and pricing policies for all sales transactions.

Performance & Reporting

  • Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
  • Monitor territory performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, customer trends, pricing, and new opportunities.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in product training.
  • Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
  • Diploma in Sales & Marketing with relevant sales experience will be considered.
  • At least 2 years' experience in field sales, B2C sales, FMCG, utilities, telecommunications, or a related industry.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
