Job Purpose

The Area Sales Representative (ASR) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing multiple distributors and retail outlets, and expanding the market presence of GenJoy Foods within the assigned region. This role is critical in achieving key sales objectives, strengthening customer relationships, and growing the GenJoy product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and objectives in the assigned area.
  • Manage and support multiple distributors and key retail outlets to maximize sales performance.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and accounts.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activity, product placement, and stock levels.
  • Implement effective route-to-market strategies to ensure optimal product availability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and trade partners.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business-related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record in distributor management and retail sales.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must be familiar with the Nairobi Pipeline–Embakasi area and its surrounding markets.
