The Commission for University Education (CUE) established by the Universities Act Cap 210 Laws of Kenya is a state corporation mandated to assure quality of university education, training and research in Kenya. A beacon of excellence in the Kenyan university education landscape, the Commission is steadfastly upholding its mandate to promote, advance, and assure quality university education. To achieve these objectives CUE seeks to recruit dynamic, result-oriented, competent and self-driven individuals for the position listed below:
Terms of Employment
Permanent & Pensionable
Responsibilities or duties
- Assessing and recommending evaluated proposals for approval;
- Coordinating technical/full inspections and preparation of reports;
- Preparing quarterly and annual work plans;
- Preparing budgets for the department; Coordinating the preparation of full inspection/accreditation reports;
- Coordinating the evaluation of institutional (self-evaluation) reports; and
- Providing secretariat services to Institutional accreditation committees.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role;
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Masters Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;
- Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

- Mentoring, coaching and leadership skills; and
- Professionalism.
Additional Notes
The Successful candidates will be required to provide the following documents before the award of offer in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010:
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
- Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
