Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our talented design team. This role will support the lead designers in all aspects of the design process, from concept development to final product. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for fashion trends, a strong understanding of design principles, and a passion for creating beautiful garments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of design concepts and mood boards.
- Prepare technical sketches and specifications for garments.
- Source fabrics, trims, and other materials.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are executed accurately.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitor activities.
- Maintain design archives and material libraries.
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of garment construction and textiles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
Previous internship or entry-level experience in fashion design is a plus.
