Pursuant to the provisions of Section 63 of the County Governments Act No. 17 of 2012, IsioloCounty Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons tofill thefollowing position.
Responsibilities or duties
Coordinating staff welfare by providing suitable tools of work and conditions of worktoadopt acceptable standard practice, which will result to better output;
Supervising staff through a clear duty allocation, to monitor adherence to appraiseperformance justifiably;
Coordinating staff performance appraisal in the Section
Ensuring routine responses to routine correspondences on administrative matterstoensure up-to-date reporting;
Coordinating the identification of office equipment and furniture requirements for theInstitute;
Ensuring general maintenance of office equipment and building is undertaken;
Generating administrative reports on repairs and maintenance; and
Facilitating renewal of motor vehicle and property insurance policies.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Administration, BusinessAdministration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology, Social Sciences orequivalent qualification from a recognised Institution.
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Administration, BusinessAdministration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology Social Sciences orequivalent qualification from a recognised Institution is an added advantage
Senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks froma recognisedInstitution;
Membership to a professional body where applicable;
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Shown merit, integrity and ability as reflectedin work performance and results.
Experience needed
Served for a cumulative period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) ofwhich should have been at the grade of Principal Administration Officer, or ininacomparable position;
