Responsibilities and Duties

• Site supervision of government and institutional building under construction;
• Enforcement of site supervision standards;
• Taking part in supervision and inspection of structural, civil and other public works;
• Conducting site assessments and structural integrity surveys;
• Preparing weekly / monthly progress reports;
• Preparation of schedules of material for building maintenance activities;
• Taking part in locating and selecting appropriate materials for structural, civil and other public constructions works;
• Collecting and collating research data;
• Preparing briefs;
• Taking part in supervising construction of structures to protect public land and any other duty assigned by the Chief Officer.

Requirements and Qualifications

• For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: -
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Be registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB) as a graduate engineer.
