Assistant Manager – E-Commerce (Marketplaces)
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – E-Commerce (Marketplaces) to manage and optimize the company’s presence across key online marketplaces. The role is execution-focused, ensuring accurate listings, competitive pricing, efficient order fulfillment, and consistent sales growth across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace Management
- Manage and optimize company accounts on online marketplaces including Jumia, Kilimall, Glovo, Bolt, Uber, and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure full compliance with each marketplace’s policies, SLAs, and performance metrics.
2. Product Listings & Pricing
- Create, upload, and maintain accurate product listings (titles, descriptions, images, SKUs, and categories).
- Manage pricing strategies, discounts, and promotional campaigns to remain competitive while protecting margins.
3. Order Fulfillment & Coordination
- Monitor daily order flow across all marketplaces.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Handle returns, cancellations, and customer complaints in line with platform requirements.
4. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track marketplace KPIs, including sales volume, conversion rates, seller ratings, and fulfillment performance.
- Prepare periodic performance reports and recommend actions to improve marketplace sales and visibility.
5. Promotions & Growth
- Plan and execute marketplace promotions, campaigns, and seasonal sales events.
- Identify opportunities to expand product assortment and improve ranking within marketplaces.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing online marketplaces.
- Mandatory experience within sports footwear, sports apparel, accessories, or sports equipment.
- Experience working with reputed brands in the same field is required.
- Strong understanding of marketplace operations, pricing, fulfillment, and analytics.
- High attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and ability to work under performance targets.
