We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager - Polymer Sales. This role is crucial for expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth within the polymer industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the polymer market and a proven track record in sales and business development.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include Business Development, Distribution & Revenue Management, Credit & Cost Control, and Market Intelligence & Reporting.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The role requires an MBA (Sales & Marketing), Polymer Engineering, or a Graduate with Polymer Postgraduate Diploma. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in polymer sales and business development is essential. Strong understanding of PP, PE, PVC, and specialty polymer markets, proven track record in achieving revenue and margin targets, strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, and a high ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving ability, strong collaboration skills, and a results-driven approach are also required.

  • Business Development: Expand territory sales, manage key accounts, acquire new customers, and achieve agreed margin targets while maintaining a structured product-customer matrix. (Polymers - PP, PE, PVC & Specialty Grades)
  • Distribution & Revenue Management: Deliver tonnage and revenue targets, monitor stock movement, and ensure timely customer collections.
  • Credit & Cost Control: Recommend and monitor customer credit limits, maintain accurate debtor records, and support stock reconciliation processes.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Conduct market analysis, track industry trends, perform regular client visits, and submit structured sales and pipeline reports.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
