Wells Oil Ltd is now Green Wells Energies Limited. We are an Oil Marketing Company incorporated in 2011 under the Companies Act of Kenya. As a company, we are focused in importing, distribution, warehousing and marketing of petroleum products Kenya. Today Wells Energies operates a chain of modern retail outlets in Western Kenya with their Head Offices in Kisumu City.
Responsibilities or duties
What you will do:
- Fully support the Operations Manager in daily execution of operations tasks and projects.
- Assist in coordinating logistics plans and tracking of company vehicles.
- Liaise with management to ensure that all issues affecting operations, if any, are attended to in a timely manner.
- Prepare periodic drivers’ vehicle and route allocation plan.
- Closely monitor the departments expenditures and budget and appraise the management on any shortfalls.
- Prepare and submit department’s reports as and when required.
- Prepare and coordinate department’s meetings and keep minutes.
- Ensure safe operations while minimizing risks through compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health standards.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements:
- Experience of 5+ years in a busy operations environment, specifically in the Oil and Gas industry will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of automotive engineering with knowledge of automotive maintenance, especially heavy commercial trucks and 4X4 pick ups.
- Strategic thinking and ability to negotiate complex agreements and mitigate risks.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
- People management skills.
