Assistant Product Manager

Job Purpose:

Develop and deliver the strategy and roadmap for the assigned products or portfolio of products/CVPs

Key Responsibilities:

Product Portfolio Management and Profitability: Monitor and continuously evaluate assigned products/CVPs for relevance and viability across sales, revenue and operations. Conduct market research and competitor analysis. Partner with business teams to drive profitability, develop new products and improve existing offerings throughout the product lifecycle.

Service Delivery: Develop customer lifecycle management frameworks and satisfaction scorecards defining acceptable service standards, run annual customer satisfaction surveys, and foster crossfunctional internal relationships and external partnerships for the assigned products/CVPs

Governance: Ensure implementation and regular review of product/CVP guides, maintain a documentary inventory of the portfolio (policies, process maps, business cases and regulatory approvals), and carry out periodic risk and compliance reviews.

Training and Product Advocacy: Develop annual marketing/communication plans and campaigns, support product launches with post-launch reviews, produce supporting collateral (fliers, posters, application forms, emailers), and deliver a quarterly training plan with the business.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, marketing, or related field

Experience:

Five years (5) relevant work experience in product management /retail banking/commercial banking/payments/banking operations or relevant field

Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and experience in product launches

Experience within financial services industry with a broad understanding of the products of a typical commercial bank and key drivers of value

Key Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal and people engagement skills

Business analysis skills

Communication and influencing skills

Adaptability and ability to work in fluid environment

Commercially driven with execution focus
