JOB DETAILS:

Key Roles and Responsibilities.
1. Provide hands on leadership to operating teams and their supervisors on daily activities.
2. Optimize time management of the supply chain team.
3. Assist the Supply Chain Manager in implementing operations, procedures, technical guidelines and KPIs and update them yearly.
4. Assist in planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and directing daily work and operations.
5. Be responsible to ensure that Union, Health Safety, Gender and Environmental procedures are followed in the Supply Chain department and train the team on the same.
6. Be responsible to ensure perfect level of hygiene in processes, ensure high level of hygiene for equipment, tools and buildings.
7. Assist to reduce supply chain costs per unit exported.
8. Assist to improve clients’ satisfaction and reduce claims.
9. Follow up and assess all trainings done by the Supply Chain Manager and report feedback.
10. On a daily basis, countercheck all rejected stems to prevent losing of exportable stems.
11. Be responsible for all tools and equipment maintenance for Supply Chain Department.
12. Ensure staffing is adequate as per forecast and actual production is within budget.
13. Be responsible for hygiene standards for processing, tools, equipment, building, vehicles etc. implementation from Pre-cool to Truck loading equipment’s.
14. Ensure clients specifications in the final cold store packing list are well implemented (such as length, box type, variety, colors, length).

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
1. BSc degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Science or any related field.
2. 3 years and above experience in a similar position in the flower industry.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Possess product knowledge.
5. IT knowledge
6. Supervisory and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to ensure quality delivered product and high level of hygiene in process, equipment and building.
8. Ability to reduce cost per unit export.
9. Ability to co-ordinate staff and ensure timely reports.
