Home Business SACCO Ltd is seeking to recruit a dedicated Assistant System Administrator to support the stability, security, and performance of our Core Banking System and IT infrastructure. This is a junior-level role, ideal for an early-career professional looking for hands- on experience within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily system operations and routine maintenance. Database management and backup monitoring.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance with regulatory standards (SASRA, ODPC).
  • Provide Level 1 & 2 technical support to system users.
  • Support system integration and generate operational reports.
  • Assist with IT projects, technical documentation, and staff training.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor to support the SACCO's IT goals.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or Diploma in IT/Computer Science or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration. Previous experience in a SACCO or financial institution is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in SQL, networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP), and Windows/Linux operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of core banking systems and financial IT operations.
  • A good understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP)
  • Familiarity with IT security principles and data protection practices.

NB: Interested and qualified candidates are requested to submit a cover letter which should be addressed to the chairman, a copy of their National Identification Card, academic and professional certificates.
