Job Summary

To coordinate, develop, and strengthen the agency distribution channel by building agent capability, driving production growth, ensuring efficient onboarding and servicing, and maintaining strong partner relationships in order to achieve ILAM’s business targets. The role serves as a key support resource across alternative distribution channels and actively drives sales through strategic business partners including Tied Life Agents, Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), Insurance Brokers, and Digital Aggregators.

Roles & Responsibilities

Sales Support

  • Support achievement of production targets by identifying opportunities, nurturing leads, and following up with business partners to close business.
  • Act as the link between business partners and internal teams to facilitate smooth business closure.
  • Track production performance and prepare reports against set targets.

Product & Agent Development

  • Promote ILAM products by equipping business partners with product & market updates, research insights, and investment proposals.
  • Recruit and onboard Tied Life Agents, Independent Financial Advisers, Insurance Brokers, and Digital Aggregators to grow the distribution network.
  • Stay informed on financial markets to confidently support and guide partners.
  • Work closely with the Head of ADC and Training Officer in offering training support for business partners on products and processes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business partners.
  • Understand partner needs and provide appropriate solutions to support growth.
  • Work closely with ICEA LION Group, especially Tied Life Agents, to drive synergies.
  • Support partner engagement activities and ensure timely communication of reports and updates.
  • Conduct market intelligence and monitor competing channels.

Compliance & Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements within the agency channel
  • Maintain the complaints register and follow up on resolution.
  • Participate in process improvements, product development initiatives, and identification of new market opportunities.
  • Attend relevant training for continuous professional growth.

Experience, Academic & Professional Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Bachelors’ degree in a Business or related discipline from an accredited University.
  • CISI I and /or CISI II qualification is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated high integrity
  • 5 years of working experience in financial services – with at least 3 years of experience, business development, agency relations, partnerships, business administration, customer service and / or related fields
