MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning and Development:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end implementation of the SBS Learning & Development agenda.
  • Consolidate, monitor and track the SBS L&D budget, ensuring prudent utilization and timely reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for all SBS staff, including attendance, outcomes and learning histories.
  • Support the administration of staff and dependents’ training requests, ensuring eligibility checks, documentation and alignment with institutional policies.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external training providers to ensure smooth planning, execution and evaluation of L&D interventions.
  • Generate periodic reports on training uptake, budget consumption and L&D impact metrics.

On boarding, Integration, Re-boarding and Offboarding:

  • Developing, reviewing, and updating the policies, procedures, and tools for all onboarding scenarios.
  • Manage the off-boarding process, including retirement, dismissal, termination, resignation, death, and departmental transfers.

Staff Benefits Administration:

  • Coordinate the administration of staff benefits, ensuring timely processing.
  • Manage bereavement support processes in line with institutional guidelines, including coordination with departments, family engagement and documentation.
  • Maintain a benefits tracker and ensure proper documentation, budgeting and approval workflows.
  • Provide guidance to staff on benefit eligibility, processes, and policy alignment.

Staff Medical Scheme Administration:

  • Manage staff onboarding and offboarding on the medical insurance scheme, including timely additions and deletions.
  • Serve as the key liaison between staff and the insurance provider, handling inquiries, escalations, and communication on medical benefits.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and records for all medical insurance-related changes.
  • Support periodic audits and reconciliations of the medical scheme membership.

Compliance and Regulatory Support:

  • Manage the processing and renewal of work permits, special passes and other statutory documents for eligible staff.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration requirements, timelines and documentation standards.
  • Serve as the liaison with relevant government offices and regulatory bodies for work permit matters.
  • Maintain a centralized compliance calendar to avoid lapses and ensure timely renewals and submissions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The post holder will be required to have and demonstrate evidence of the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Certification in Human Resource Management e.g. CHRP (K).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resource Management, with demonstrated experience in Talent Management.
  • Membership in a recognized professional HR body.
  • Experience in HR operations, employee benefits administration, and/or Learning and Development (L&D) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management practices, including performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, leadership development, and learning initiatives.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of learning & development processes.
  • Understanding of onboarding, integration, reboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration and HR operational procedures.
