Amicabre Travel Services Ltd is a fast-growing transport service company in Kenya, specializing in car hire, corporate staff transfers and airport transfers. We are seeking a skilled, reliable and self-driven Auto Electrician to join our Fleet Maintenance Team.
Reporting to:
Workshop Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, service and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems,
- Repair and replace electrical components including
- Install and maintain approved vehicle accessories such as tracking devices, radios, alarms, reverse cameras and central locking systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections and electrical fault diagnosis using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Test completed repairs, ensure quality and safety standards are met, and complete work within required timelines to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Maintain accurate repair records, safeguard tools and equipment, identify recurring faults, and work closely with the workshop and Operations teams to ensure vehicles are promptly returned to service.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Auto Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 7 years experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in a busy transport or fleet environment.
- Proven experience in vehicle electrical fault diagnosis and repair.
- Good knowledge of modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- High level of integrity, responsibility and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
