Role Overview:

The Automotive Engineering Tutor will deliver high-quality technical training to students in the Automotive Engineering program, ensuring alignment with the TVET CDACC curriculum. The ideal candidate will have practical industry experience, strong pedagogical skills, and a passion for mentoring future automotive professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training in automotive engineering topics (e.g., engine systems, diagnostics, vehicle electronics, maintenance).
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments tailored to the TVET CDACC curriculum.
• Supervise students during workshops, labs, and industry attachments.
• Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and practical assessments.
• Mentor students in academic and career development, fostering industry-ready skills.
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in curriculum reviews, departmental meetings, and institutional initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching/training experience in a TVET or similar institution.
• Proven ability to teach the TVET CDACC curriculum effectively.
• Registration with TVETA and KSTVET Certification (Pedagogy) is an added advantage.
• Industry experience in automotive engineering (e.g., mechanics, diagnostics, automotive technology) is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and mentorship skills.
